HAIVRIOT
HaIvriot is an Israeli female supergroup featuring nine of the country’s most prominent musicians. Each member is an acclaimed artist in her own right, appearing in Israel’s largest productions and maintaining successful solo careers.
The Ensemble:
●Karni Postel: Cello
●Vered Picker: Piano
●Galia Hai: Viola
●Ola Shor Selektar: Glockenspiel & Poetry Reading
●Raz Shmueli: Classical Guitar
●Roni Wagner: Drums & Percussion
●Alex Moshe: Electric Guitar
●Salit Lahav: Accordion, Woodwinds, Synthesizer
●Shani Shavit: Bass Guitar
Together, these women perform songs which constitute the "beating heart" of Hebrew culture. While each member brings a unique musical "color" and independent voice, their collaboration results in a refreshing, powerful, and unified musical language. Every vocal and instrumental arrangement is a collective creation of the ensemble.
Flagship Performances
HaIvriot offers four distinct productions, each centered on a legendary Israeli creator. These 80-minute shows blend beloved classics with short interludes of recited poetry.
1. Leah G: The Songs of Leah Goldberg
A journey through the timeless works of one of Israel’s most beloved poets. This show features Goldberg’s iconic lyrics set to both classic and contemporary melodies. Though written decades ago, these texts remain startlingly relevant today.
2. Shoshana D: A Tribute to Shoshana Damari
Inspired by the "Queen of Hebrew Music," this performance celebrates the majesty of Shoshana Damari. With a voice that echoed the ancient spirit of Canaan while radiating Hollywood glamour, Damari brought the spirit of the Levant to the world stage. Haivriot offers soaring new arrangements of her greatest hits.
3. Nathan A: The Poetry of Nathan Alterman
A unique female interpretation of Alterman’s legendary repertoire. These are songs of love, rebuke, beauty, and pain—many of which were written for the influential women in his life: his wife Rachel Marcus, his lover Tzilla Binder, and his daughter Tirza Atar.
4. New Show! Ehud M: The Work of Ehud Manor
After six years of performing together, HaIvriot reaches a new artistic peak with this tribute to Ehud Manor. The show highlights Manor’s moving, wise, and quintessentially Israeli body of work—both original lyrics and masterful translations. The maturity of the ensemble creates a rich, sophisticated musical fabric.
